Family Camping Trip

The photos do a far superior job of telling the story of our first family camping trip with our seven month old baby girl. In short, it far exceeded our expectations. Enjoy.

Looks like a fun trip! No fish? where did you get that awesome AZ flag fishing hat?! I love it

No fish Colby. I had a couple hours on the water, but no dice. The hat is from repyourwater.com. They’ve got a whole slew of states there. Take care.

That’s awesome. We did that same thing this weekend. It was our first camping trip with our 6-month old son (we also have a 3 year old little girl and a couple of bird dogs). Ours was a limited success in that no one died, but I think I was the only one that didn’t cry at some point 🙂 Glad to see we’re not the only crazy ones willing to give it a shot!

That’s awesome to hear Adam. It sure is a ton of work but worth it in the end.

That’s the way to do it, start them early. They will be campers for life. Might work with fishing too.

That’s my plan Mark. Fingers crossed that it sticks.

Thanks Kyle. The 3am wasn’t as funny at the time. Now looking back I can’t help but smile. Good times.

Looks like you’ve got a happy camper there. On my oldest son’s 1st camping trip, some 24 yrs ago, when he was 3 months old, we got to our camp site & we noticed the pacifier was gone. I had to walk back a mile before I found it, would have been a loooong weekend had I not found it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks David. While camping with an infant we ended up with an much larger truck bed of gear. Comes with the territory I guess. Thanks for the kind words.

Nice. We started taking Matt camping at 6 months. We did pick up a tent trailer which was great for a warm dry place when the weather was foul. Great times filled with memories and a couple stories. I still chuckle when I think of how proud Matt was when he took his first crap in the woods. Not sure if your princess will feel the same. 🙂 Enjoy.

Very cool Mike. That’s pretty funny. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle the bathroom thing. Sounds like a “mom job.” Take care.

Good to see you getting out there with your youngin’ in tow.

So many people seem to just hole up inside once they have a child.
