Locked and Loaded

Locked and Loaded

I came home last weekend from some time in the woods to find this on the refrigerator. My beautiful wife had spent the day at the local gun range taking a Women’s Introductory Pistol Class and learning the ins and outs of her handgun. Now if you get past the two ferocious pups (our “first line of defense”), you have an armed American citizen waiting for you. Moral of the story is that I will always be giving my wife a call to announce myself before barging back into the house after a long weekend in the woods.

Making an announcement is a good idea Ben. I’ve a friend who’s wife drew down on him as he tried to come in the locked bedroom door one night. She was scared. He was scared, and it almost ended disastrously.

By the way, I’ve the same Moose Crossing magnet on my fridge.

Yikes. Crazy to think about something like that. I usually always give a call, but that story will probably keep me a bit more honest.

That’s hilarious about the magnet. That’s one of our things we always pick up on a roadtrip or adventure. Good souvenirs.

She’s a clean shot! And no groin blasters, Whew! That reminds me I should get my wife back out to the range to shake off the dust.

I was pretty impressed with her targets that she brought back. My goal is to have her on the positive side of neutral with guns. I want her to be comfortable and feel that she can protect herself. I’m looking forward to getting her back on the range and getting her even more comfortable. Good luck shaking that dust off.
