It comes in handy recording what presentations worked for fishing and what the exact weather conditions/locations were. It’s also neat to look back and remember the specific trips and outings. Years later it’ll be a neat thing to look back on.

I recently picked up one of these. It’s a little more structured than the Rite in the Rain journals, but also has room for free form notes. It might be an acceptable alternative to what you’re looking for.

I agree that the outdoor journal is a very useful tool and highly recommend its use by people sensitive to the world in which we live.
