Over the weekend I was up in flagstaff scouting for my October elk tag, hoping to get one on the ground.

Fishing is great to fill in the gaps when there is nothing to hunt, plus it is quite often just as rewarding as a hunt.

October 5th is in my calendar, can’t wait!

Thanks Mike. Supposedly there are trout here, and you’ll never believe this. I was pulling a streamer through one of these pools and pulled out a perch. No idea where he came from.
