The spots on those fish are what really set them apart. These particular fish in this creek fight like crazy. They don’t get as big as the browns but they are a ton of fun. Northern Arizona has some pretty amazing fishing and scenery.

I have never caught a brookie, but between the wild rainbows and wild browns I’ve caught in Arizona, I much prefer the rainbows. They’re beautiful fish, and fun when they jump.

Living on the east coast, when I hear Arizona, desert instantly comes to mind. Really had no idea such an oasis of beauty (and its inhabitants) are there. Stunning.

Looks like you had a good day out there!

I myself have reflected on how far I’ve come since taking up the fly rod last year and it is amazing when you stop to think about it. Like they say, the journey is the reward.

This is one of my favorite spots and really shows what Arizona has to offer. Fall is a great time to get out and do some hiking. Thanks again.
