I use it almost exclusively while hiking/backpacking. I can set up and tear it down within a couple of minutes so it’s ideal when wanting to take a quick fishing break during a long hike.

He caught fish and I didn’t but we were on a stream that a rod and reel has always worked for me. My jury is still out.
