Andrew, Thanks for the kind words. The ladder does a couple of things. It does keep you out of the cold water, it keeps you stationary in the wind instead of being blown all around the lake, and it allows you to fish and see the large drop off where the fish are cruising. It is a sandy bottom to the lake, but the ladders only sink in so far. It was awesome.
