Stan, I’ll tie them don to a size 12 on a 1x or 2x long hook. If I’m tying smaller stones I like to use this pattern – http://azwanderings.com/fly-tying-little-stonefly-pattern/

Do you ever tie them in smaller sizes like 10s?
