Thanks Paul for the words of encouragement. We’re definitely going to have to get out again, although it seems as if it’s mostly hiking with a gun this season. We’ll figure something out here once school slows down. Take care.

In reply to Bruce. Thanks Bruce. I have been experimenting with Gambel's soft-hackles and it has been a ton of fun trying them out. Most of the hackle is pretty long which makes for some buggy looking flies. I'm going to try and sit down this winter and tie up a bunch for the AZWandering Shop. Ben

Hey Ben,
Great read and every time I see these birds all I see is wonderful soft hackle feathers. I am on a wet fly and soft hackle kick lately. Have you ever used those brest feathers for flies?
