I couldn’t agree more. It’s arguably my favorite stream up there. That Fenwick rod was my grandpa’s and it taught me how to cast. Love getting it out and throwing some loops. Thanks for the kind words.

Glenn,

Thanks for the kind words. AZ has some great water. the one book that I would recommend is by Will Jordan and is called the Fly Fisher’s Guide to AZ or something similar. Good book that has helped me with this state. I would love to get out and fish with you. Shoot me an email with some particular dates and we’ll see if we can work something out. Look forward to hearing from you.

I love your blog and the pics. I grew up in AZ, but didn’t fish then. We will probably retire there and it is good to see that fly fishing and trout fishing specifically are alive and well in Arizona. I won’t ask you to reveal your secrets, but can you point me to any books on stream fishing locales in Arizona? I’m usually there around Christmas time to see the family in Phoenix and Tucson and I could probably kick loose for a day or two up on the Mogollon Rim or the Sedona area. Any advice you can give will be much appreciated. Thx, Glenn

Thanks Jason. Sounds like fun. If you are ever down in Arizona definitely drop me a line. It would be fun to do some small stream fishing after fishing the San Juan. Thanks again for the kind words.

I’m hoping to keep in touch with one of my favorite places through your blog. I’ll be doing a fly fishing trip there in the next 18 months- not sure where in that timeline, so I’ll be monitoring your blog for ideas.
