Emperor_MA,

Great to hear from you and glad you found the review helpful. The Q5 Centerfire is definitely lighter than the WW, and the Q5 also has more carrying capacity with it’s additional pockets and a larger game bag.

I think both are an excellent option. I’ve been wearing my WW for a good while longer and have really become comfortable in it. Plus, it was a gift from my wife and has some sentimental value, so I really enjoy hunting in it.

Hope that helps.

Ben

I am basically down to a decision between this new Q5 Centerfire and the Wing Works vest. I’ve seen the wing Works and tried them on and like them but I think they are heavy and almost “overkill” for most of my hunts.

I hunt mainly valley quail in the arid Northwest and also get in about 10 days each season hunting chukar. Both types of hunting involve lots of climbing, little water and long hikes from the truck with a lot of gear, water and food. For me, comfort is king, as I have a bad neck and a bad knee. I always have one of my English Setters on the ground, and I often run two dogs.

Which of these two do you prefer? Which do you think would be best for a beat-up old chukar hunter like myself?
