Ray,

It’s loosened up some over time and I can get the heat to stay low enough for a simmer. It does like to creep if I don’t keep a close eye on it. Hope that helps.

It’s been more than a year since you posted this review. I’m wondering if you have had any further trouble getting the heat to stay low for simmering. I see a lot of other reviews echoing this problem on various hyperflame models. Would really appreciate it if you can elaborate how you get yours into the proper low heat setting. Cheers.
