Thanks Rohan. That means alot and I am glad the boots are the ticket for you. Very cool. Looking forward to seeing them in action and some fly fishing up on Whole Larder Love. Thanks again and best of luck.

And finally I’ve acted upon your recommendation! My Orvis boots and hip waders arrived from the US, and thanks to your size recommendation they fit perfectly! So anyone out there that relies on the web for info, read Bens reviews!!!

Thanks again mate!

I do not believe so. Many of the features (podcasts, fishing reports, animated knots, and some others) can be found by perusing Orvis’s site. I think most “apps” are attractive to people because all of the info is in one easy to access spot.

Great question. I am not a super techy guy (this site is about as high-tech as I get) and I do not have an i-phone. The I-pad is my wife’s. That being the case, I do not see myself using the app in the field because the i-pad is too big and my wife would destroy me if anything happened to it. I typically don’t carry a cell phone with me anyway because most of the places that I fish are too remote for service, so even if I did have an appropriate device, I do not think I would use it in the field.

Having said that, I would use the app to review different reports and hatches if I was fishing out of state or researching new water. I try and do as much research on new waters, especially in other states, prior to my trip to make sure that my fly box is stocked accordingly.

It is a very handy app, but a little too much to worry about while on the water for me. Hope that helps.
