I’ve flown with this bag 4 times and never had an issue. Someone was telling me that they recently changed the carry-on rules and that this bag would not work as a carry-on. I’m headed back east this summer and plan to carry it on the plane. I guess there is some risk of them telling you know, but I can’t say for certain. It’s a great piece of luggage.

I travel with the Patagonia guidewater duffle which I LOVE. It has a wet compartment for waders and boots and dry compartment for other clothes. It also has loops for your rod tube. BUT I always struggle with my small gear. I usually load up my vest before trips but still end up misplacing things. This might be the perfect compliment to the guidewater bag. How many times have you flown with this? I can see some airlines having issue carrying on due to the length.

It’s a great product, but you mortgage a small piece of your future to buy one new.
