Like you said, it seems obvious, until you end up in another state without your gink because you didn’t have a list and forgot to detach it from your bag. One thing I also like to keep on my list, if I’m traveling in fall or winter, is a pair of rubber fishing gloves. Cold hands will kick me off the water before anything else, so I like to have those in case I’ll be reaching into frigid water, or for stripping in line. It’s always the one thing I forget to pack if I don’t write it down in advance.
