Arizona Hiking – Barry Goldwater Peak

Michelle and I live not far from the White Tank Mountains. As a matter of fact, you can see Barry Goldwater Peak, the highest point in the White Tank Mountains, from our back yard. Since moving to Arizona, I have said on more than one occasion, that I would like to hike to the top of those mountains. So, we did. The 13 mile round trip hike was a heck of a workout, but extremely rewarding. Here’s some images from our journey.

    What a great hike.

We lived there too. I have seen water flows, waterfalls and coyote pups on the same hike.

Thanks RF. There is tons of cool wildlife out there. That’s half the fun of heading into the hills.

I used to visit Arizona many years ago and loved nothing more than hiking through the desert. Thanks for the memories.

Not a problem Howard. There is nothing like the desert after some heavy rains. It truly is beautiful.

Ben, I was just out there this afternoon. It’s one of my favorite hikes – a great way to stay in shape plus enjoy the desert green-up. In another two weeks, it will look like a flower garden. One day I might see you on one of those trails. Will look forward to it.

What a coincidence Dan. We’re blessed to live so close to such a beautiful and intricate set of hiking trails. We are hoping to get out there more so maybe we’ll see you. Take care.

Absolutely. Hoping to head into the Grand Canyon soon if everything works out. I can’t wait for summer.
